Pair of Silver and Copper Victorian Dog Collars. An exquisite pair of English Victorian copper and silver metal engraved dog collars. Etched with the names and location across the centre of the silver collar is Mathew Walsh 113 James Str, On the copper collar is etched I. Both collars have original date locks from the Victorian era in brass. Highly desirable and very collectable in both them materials and being English in origin.
Silver: H 3.5 x W 3.5 x D 0.8 Copper: H 4 x W 4 x D 0.8. Condition: Both items reflect their age, the copper example is worn in sections to reveal a worn areas, the inner leather lining is also worn away as you may expect and the brass lock cannot be opened. The silver example is stamped showing light knocks, dents and blemishes to its surface, the inner lining has weathered away leaving a natural patina, the brass lock can not be opened.
