   WITH A BLACKSMITH MADE FIXED IRON HANDLE. A large, heavy and sturdy solid brass cauldron with a blacksmith made iron handle. This item was made around the late 1800s and would have originally been a cooking utensil for boiling water or cooking. Nowadays it would make a great planter. Measures Height 15 (to top of handle), pot measures 7 in height. 9.5 base diameter, and 12.5 top diameter. All in good antique used condition.    Good example of a large antique copper cooking pot dating from the late 19th Century. It is good quality and all hand forged with two blacksmith-made iron handles and a copper lid. Perfect size for storing kindling beside a fire. It is in good original condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use, some dents, dinks and surface marks but nothing untoward. There is a very small split visible from the inside (see photo) but otherwise no major damages. It has been lightly cleaned and polished to retain its wonderful aged patina and is ready for use.
