   A Very Rare Pair of Victorian Copper and Brass 3 Gallon Water Urns. An ornately shaped matching pair of 19th Century Copper andBrass 3 gallon water urns. They have brass taps with nicely shaped ebonised woodenhandles. They are both in good condition considering their age andmust have seen a lot use over the years, but as with anything of this age theydo show signs of wear and use.    (BRASS PLAQUE WITH MAKERS NAME ATTACHED TO FRONT). COPPER WATER CONTAINER TEA URN COOKING POT With working BRASS Spigot. IT WOULD ALSO MAKE AN IDEAL LOG BUCKET. ORIGINALLY THIS WAS PROBABLY A WATER BOILER BUT THE ELEMENT HAS BEEN REMOVED AND THE HOLE SEALED AND WELDED. Height 54 cm approx (including lid). CAPACITY - I WOULD GUESS 15 GALLON - BUT THIS IS A PURE GUESS. Condition: Usage related surface wear commensurate with age and tarnish to inside.    Offered from a local NJ estate is a nice big fancy. COPPER SAMOVAR or WATER URN. This model does not have a heater (never did, the base matches the lid). But unfortunately the spout does not dispense, the lever is frozen so this is for DISPLAY ONLY. Wonderful swirled rib lid and base with matching knobs. The strap legs from urn to base are Egyptian Revival motifs that start in Fans or Feathers and end in CLAWED FEET. The Handles are big fancy scroll holders with bone or wood inserts.
