   This is more decorative than useful as the inner, although clean. Has a rough edge around the centre piece. The centre has a very heavy stone (originally for storing heat to keep the water hot).    Large antique brass & copper warming pan with a long turned wooden handle. The bed warmer dates from the latter half of the 19th Century and was used regularly. It has a copper circular warming pan with an engraved brass lift up lid. The pan would be filled with embers from the fire and placed between the sheets of a bed to warm it before bedtime.
