A small to medium size Arts & Crafts copper jardiniere dating to around the late Victorian period. Attractively decorated with four alternating repousse hearts and roundels against a punched bark design background and a scalloped shaped rim. The planter is stamped with the maker's logo on the underside: Benham & Froud, Made in London. Externally the jardiniere has been stripped of lacquer and cleaned, but has tarnish internally. Antique English dovetailed copper roasting pan. This high quality pan is from maker Benham & Froud but the maker's mark has long since been rubbed away. Formed from one sheet of copper with a dovetail joint in each corner. The lift handles are firmly fixed through a rivetted collar. It has a roll top finish and is tin lined. Probably originally used in the kitchens of a large country home or hotel for cooking Venison and large meat joints. In good used antique condition with surface marks associated with age and use.
