Made by John Phillips & Co Glasgow. Measures around 14" at its widest point and is 8" in height. The pot is beautifully dovetailed and has a hammered finish. On the side is stamped with the makers mark and the opposite side has a military mark. The top has on opening of 10" and has an outside rolled edge of 12". Classical sauce pan with lid, in polished copper, both set with long iron handles; retailed by Thomas Bishop of Glasgow; antique British Victorian 19th century. Size : approximately 18.5 cm high (pot side only), 20.5 cm diameter. Condition : surface dents and scratches with some minor pitting, professionally polished, to be re-tinned if kitchen use is required, no holes, solid structure. Original Set Of 4 Glasgow Copper Bar Measures, Late 19th Century

This style of copper measure seems to be unique to Glasgow, and here we have an original graduated set of four, from half-pint to quarter-gill. All with matching check marks for Fife, from around 1870 to at least 1939. Final photo shows this set of measures with other pieces being listed today.
