  A STUNNING Pair of genuine Antique Solid Bronze Fireplace Fire Dogs, depicting Lionesses. A deep rich colour, almost copper coloured in some areas. Each has the stamp 37114Rd. Each with a brass front ring. They each measure 28cm total height and 23cm total depth. They each weigh approx 7kg each, hence not lightweight reproductions. Lots of old dried brasso/metal polish residue all over, as pictured. One of the best pairs of genuine fire dogs I've seen. These would not of been cheap when made new.    For your consideration is an antique matched pair of Victorian era Staffordshire Spaniels with the desirable reticulated front leg. Decorated in the comparatively rare coloration of green with copper luster, this lovely pair stands approximately 6" in height, measures 5" in length and are 3 wide, with one being slightly smaller than its mate. A small vent hole is found on the base of each.
