The top rail been connected by 10 brass empire finials. Sitting on a lower curved bead edging. I've never come across this one before the brass finials make it very different to any i have seen.    True antique fireplace fender / bumper. This piece has some Arts & Crafts era vibes too it, however I cannot pinpoint the exact date this piece originated. Great looking piece that is solid, sturdy, and completely functional. The metal displays a natural unspoiled well aged patina, some of which probably can cleaned up if you desired.
