Antique Copper and brass kettle, Victorian, oblong VR marked on front and back. This listing is for an unusual antique OBLONG COPPER KETTLE marked on the front and back with "VR" (Victoria Regina) in the centre of a crown. Made with rolled and soldered edges, a tin lined interior and raised on brass spindle feet. The shaped handle is attached to the kettle with shaped brass then the actual handle is the most tactile hollow worked ribbed handle which matches the lid which has a brass finial. This copper tray is very big 550mm long x 418mm wide x 32mm deep. It weighs over two and a quarter kilograms, the recess is angled at about 60 degrees with a rolled edge. The tray is an ideal backdrop to a collection of copper kitchenware or will form a stunning focal point to a victorian room setting especially if you have big enough furniture. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE 18th CENTURY GEORGIAN COPPER IRON HANDLE BED WARMING PAN. I have not been able to find another quite like it to compare. If you can throw any light on this please message me - I would love to know more. I have received a message from a kind ebayer who has provided the following information about this. The Pan is French and is towards the end of the period of terminal trumpet handles. Its handle bracket riveted to the bowl is wider than most pans that post date around 1770. Measures 8 inches diameter and length with handle is 16 1/2 inches. It stands 4 1/2 inches tall....

A very unusual mahogany 4 door cupboard circa 1890 in original condition. This cupboard has a shaped moulded cornice above 4 doors- 2 to the top- 2 to the bottom. Doors have inset panels with moulded edges. Most unusually the doors are decorated with Art Nouveau style beaten copper corners affixed with copper screws. These are not brass with plated copper which is more usual on pieces Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts- but beaten copper- the shape of the corners are very flowing, very plant like. An unusual copper and brass duplex oil lamp by Evereds and Sons fitted with a Hinks no. Duplex burner with key operated gallery raiser. The burner collar was originally fitted with a safety locking device which has sadly been removed or broken off. This in no way affects the security and operation of the burner. This is a wonderful extra large Estate size mixing bowl, it would be great to clean up and use because its very simple and such a useful item but at present its exactly as we have bought it from an old estate, its never been out of the family since new and looks to have originally come from the kitchens of a large house somewhere in Shropshire, sadly we do not know any more other than it has the engraved initials "DxB" which could mean just about anything.
